Folly Beach Pier is an attractive, well built and functional landmark for the town. With excellent fishing, a nice restaurant and lovely views, the Pier anchors the beach, and offers a nice shady spot to take a break from the hot sun.
Surfing near the pier is popular for locals and if you head north up the beach you will arrive at the "Washout" where the break is more consistent and the beach is more spectacular.
